Northern Ireland beats Belarus 3-0 in warmup for Euro 2016
BELFAST, Northern Ireland (AP) - Northern Ireland had the ideal Belfast send-off before the European Championship by beating Belarus 3-0 on Friday to extend its undefeated run to 11 games.
Kyle Lafferty marked his 50th international appearance by scoring a 17th goal for his country, before Conor Washington and Will Grigg also netted at Windsor Park.
Neither Lafferty nor Washington featured prominently for their clubs this season, but Northern Ireland coach Michael O'Neill may have found the attacking partnership that will start in the country's first-ever European Championship finals.
Northern Ireland is in Group C at the Euros, with Germany, Poland and Ukraine. Belarus will not be at the tournament in France.
