Waubonsie Valley 8, Yorkville 7:

After playing to a 7-7 draw through 12 innings on Thursday, the fourth-seeded Warriors (23-11) finally won in 13 innings to advance to the Class 4A Downers Grove South regional final. Nick Santoro doubled in the bottom of the 13th and scored the game-winning run on an error. Alex Schram pitched a scoreless top of the 13th to win in relief. Nick Price, who homered, and Jason Neville drove in 2 runs. Santoro went 3-for-4. The Warriors face No. 12 Plainfield Central at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Benet 12, Noble/UIC 0:

The sixth-seeded Redwings (13-20) rolled into the Class 3A Benet regional final. They'll play No. 3 Glenbard South in Saturday's title game.

Plainfield Central 5, Downers South 2:

The Mustangs (24-10) fell in the Class 4A Downers Grove South regional semifinals. Mike Hall had 2 hits and Ty McCulloch and Brett Riegler each drove in a run.
