Fairfield Road closure planned

The railroad crossing on Fairfield Road north of Route 134 in Round Lake will be closed for more than a week beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, and is scheduled to reopen to traffic the morning of Friday, June 17. The closure is for scheduled repairs to the track and grade crossing, according to the Lake County Division of Transportation. The detour route will be Rollins Road to Cedar Lake Road to Route 134.
