New Des Plaines park board president appointed

James Grady was appointed president of the Des Plaines Park District board by his fellow commissioners at their recent May meeting.

Grady, a Realtor and manager of the Re/Max Suburban office in Mount Prospect, has previously served as board president, vice president and treasurer since first being elected in 2001.

William Yates was chosen as board vice president and Joseph Weber as treasurer on the five-member board.

Jana Haas served as president for the last year, and Donald Rosedale was in the position the year before.
