Softball: Evanston edges Hersey in seventh

Evanston's softball team broke a 6-6 tie by scoring a run in the top of the seventh which stood up for a 7-6 win at Hersey on Friday.

Kim Labahn celebrated senior day for Hersey by going 2-for-4, including her first triple of the season which was part of the Huskies' 4-run first inning.

Huskies junior Amy Denten belted her first homer and went 2-for-4.

Other multiple hitters for Hersey (17-12) were Hanna Graff (3-for-4), Katie Wingerter (2-for-4) and Jodie Hermann (2-for-4).

Hersey wraps up its regular season today at 10 a.m. against visiting Maine South.
