District 103 board to talk budget

The Lincolnshire-Prairie View Elementary District 103 board will meet Tuesday to hold a public hearing on the proposed budget for the 2017 fiscal year, which starts July 1. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at Wright Junior High School, 1370 N. Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire. The proposed $39.7 million budget is up nearly 27 percent from the roughly $31.3 million budget for the current fiscal year. Spending is rising because construction projects totaling $14 million will begin in early 2017 at Half Day School and Sprague School.
