The West Suburban Bass Anglers Club presents the annual Fishing Derby from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 21, at Plum Grove Reservoir, on Algonquin Road near Harper College. This day of catch and release fishing for all ages includes contests for largest fish and most fish, with competitions and prizes throughout the event including a 50-50 raffle.

Prizes will be awarded for the largest bass, largest catfish, largest northern pike, and the largest fish in the "other" category. The West Suburban Bass Anglers Club will be on hand to help weigh fish and assist with fishing needs. Raffles will also be held throughout the day. Bait will be available to purchase at the event.
The $3 fishing derby entry fee is payable at event check-in on Saturday, May 21. All participants 16 years and over must have a fishing license.
