Girls soccer: St. Charles East shuts out Addison Trail

The St. Charles East girls soccer team opened the postseason Wednesday with an 11-0 win over Addison Trail at the Class 3A Addison Trail regional.

The second-seeded Saints (17-3-1) advanced to Saturday's final against No. 7 Wheaton North.

Kaitlyn Dzibuinski and Kyla Augustine tallied 2 goals and 1 assist each while Hannah Kolb and Rose Stackhouse each scored twice. Chantel Carranza added 1 goal and 1 assist and Madison Cady and Megan O'Neal notched 1 goal each. Claire Rasmussen totaled 4 assists, Tory Schumann dished 2 and both Shannon Gatehouse and Alison D'Argento had 1.

Freshman goalie Grace Griffin finished with 2 saves in net.
