Traditional GOP should swallow pride and back Trump

Paul Ryan has a lot of nerve. He and his GOP cronies in the Senate and Congress sat by silently while Obama trampled the Constitution with his illegal executive orders and shoved Obamacare down our throats.

Then they were unwilling and/or afraid to challenge Obama when he failed to pass a single fiscal budget the past seven years while more than doubling the national debt. And they looked the other way while Obama dismantled our military, created ISIS by pulling out of Iraq too soon and then divided this country by race, gender and class - even pitting civilians against law enforcement officers.

And now that Ryan and his cronies don't like Trump as their GOP nominee, they are sabotaging his campaign. Where were they when Obama trashed this country?

They said nothing because THEY are part of the problem as well.

Trump may be arrogant and insulting. But so is Obama. All he has done for the past seven years is lecture us and tell us how we should feel, how we should think and what we can and can't say. I've had enough. Trump was not my No. 1 choice. But I will support him as the Republican nominee - just as I would have supported any one of the other 16 nominees if they had won the primary.

We cannot allow Hillary Clinton to become the next president of the United States. She is a phony, greedy, habitual liar who is not qualified to be president.

Paul Ryan and the GOP establishment need to swallow their pride and back Trump. He will surround himself with intelligent people and he will not be owned by the lobbyists and special interest groups.

And we certainly cannot afford four more years of Obama.
