Girls soccer: Hampshire wins regional opener

Alana Hatanka scored off an assist from Morgan Heileman in the 67th minute Friday to lift the Hampshire girls soccer team to a 1-0 win over Woodstock North in the play-in game of the Class 2A Hampshire regional.

The Whip-Purs will take on Freeport in a Tuesday semifinal at Hampshire.
