Softball: Maine West serves shutout on senior day

Junior Grace Feldkamp was the winning pitcher for Maine West's softball team which received doubles from Anne Lipinski and Jordan Hart and a triple from Monica Liwag in an 8-0 win over visiting Highland Park.

Gabriella Demma had a 3 hits for the Warriors while Nicole Byerly had two as the Warriors (6-13, 4-4) celebrated senior day with the Central Suburban North triumph.

Prospect 8, Elgin 3: Maddie Borkowski, Cate Meersman, Colleen Palczynski, Alex Kanter and Lauren Calderone each doubled for visiting Prospect (6-17) in the nonconference game.

Sophomore Alexa Meinzer earned the win for the Knights, who visit Buffalo Grove at 4:30 p.m. today.
