Norwich relegated despite 4-2 win over Watford

NORWICH, England (AP) - Norwich was relegated after one season back in the English Premier League despite a 4-2 victory over Watford on Wednesday.

Sunderland's 3-0 victory over Everton consigned Norwich to life back in the second-tier League Championship, with a game still to play this season.

Norwich's big problem this season has been scoring goals but the team managed four in 42 minutes against Watford, which took the lead through Troy Deeney in the 11th minute.

Nathan Redmond began Norwich's fightback in the 14th before Dieumerci Mbokani's tap-in and an own goal by Craig Cathcart gave the hosts a 3-1 lead at halftime. Mbokani added a fourth in the 57th after Odion Ighalo had reduced Watford's deficit.

Norwich is second from bottom, four points behind fourth-to-last Sunderland.
