Body of female recovered from Ohio River in Perry County
TROY, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a female has been recovered from the Ohio River in southern Indiana.
Indiana State Police say the body was recovered Wednesday morning from along the shoreline in Troy, about 40 miles east of Evansville. Local dispatchers had been alerted to the presence of the body by the operator of a passing barge.
Police say the female has not been identified. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine the cause of death.
