Fellowship Housing hosts 5K run/walk to support single moms
Fellowship Housing hosts its annual 5K Run/Walk 9 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at Busse Woods (Groves 17-25 off Higgins Road), to raise money to serve single moms and their children in the Northwest suburbs.
The event includes the organization's first toddler dash for children under the age of five and a 1 mile run for kids under the age of 10. On-site entertainment includes Lighthouse Emotional Wellness Center with Baggo, AMJ Entertainment, Pinstripes with Bocce, a Bounce House and K-Love contests and giveaways. Registration is $10-$35 at www.fhcmoms.org.
Fellowship Housing provides safe, affordable housing and one-on-one mentoring that leads homeless single moms to long-term stability and independence.
