Girls soccer: St. Charles North wins UEC River outright

St. Charles North's girls soccer team (15-3-1, 6-0) finished off an outright Upstate Eight River title with a resounding 9-0 win over the Sabres (6-12, 0-5). Morgan Rerko pitched a hat trick and both Hailey Rydberg and Katy Fredericksen dished 2 goals and 1 assist. Gia Wahlberg registered 1 goal and 2 assists, Ashley Hayes added a goal and Lauren Muzzalupo, Alison Wessel and Jordan Karom added assists in North's fifth-straight win.

CL South 1, Mundelein 1: In their final tune up before the Class 3A postseason, the Gators (13-5-1) salvaged a nonconference tie after trailing 1-0 at the half. Katherine Siavelis scored the CLS goal as Jenna Ross provided the assist. Keeper Annika Sevcik kept South in it with 3 saves.
