Office Depot and Macy's plunge, Electronic Arts climbs

NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq stock market:

Office Depot Inc., down $2.46 to $3.63

A federal judge blocked Office Depot's plan to combine with rival Staples, saying the move would hurt competition for office supplies.

Electronic Arts Inc., up $8.84 to $73.38

The video game maker's profit and sales were far stronger than expected and it gave strong guidance for its current fiscal year.

ConocoPhillips, up 81 cents to $43.68

Energy companies traded higher as oil prices, which are at six-month highs, continued to rise.

Macy's Inc., down $5.61 to $31.38

The department store posted disappointing sales and cut its guidance. It said international tourists shopped less, and shoppers spent less on clothes.

Walt Disney Co., down $4.31 to $102.29

The media company Disney posted weaker-than-expected earnings and sales, and said it's discontinuing its Disney Infinity video game line.

Nasdaq

Fossil Group Inc., down $11.66 to $28.44

The watch and accessories maker Fossil Group reported disappointing sales and cut its guidance, saying business conditions have gotten worse.

Blue Buffalo Pet Products Inc., up $1.93 to $25.81

The pet food maker reported strong quarterly results and boosted its sales forecast for the year.

Wendy's Co., down 99 cents to $10.19

The fast food chain cautioned that a key sales measurement won't meet its expectations in the second quarter.
