Flavor Run coming to Lake County

The Flavor Run 5K Chicago is set for 10 a.m., Saturday, May 21, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, Peterson and Midlothian roads, Grayslake. Registration is $25 to $50 and is open for runners, walkers and strollers at www.FlavorRun.com. Children 6 and under can participate at no charge. Runners will be doused in an edible powder in strawberry, banana, blueberry, grape, watermelon, and orange flavors. There will be many local vendors, fresh fruit, a festival area, and a DJ for after the run. All finishers will also receive a 2016 Banana Medal.
