Discover new treats at Aurora farmers markets

The city of Aurora invites you to shop for locally grown, just-picked produce, fresh from the farm preserves, artisan cheeses, Old World breads and a diverse selection of handcrafted products at Illinois' oldest farmers market, founded in 1912.

Come taste the difference and get to know your farmer and producer personally. Discover new treats, sample fresh produce, and connect with friends and neighbors. LINK is accepted and offers a Double Value Bonus to patrons at all three markets.

• Aurora's Farmers Market Downtown will be held from 8 a.m. until noon Saturdays, June 11 to Oct. 15, at the Aurora Transportation Center, 233 N. Broadway.

• Aurora's Farmers Market West will be noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, July 6 through Sept. 28, at West Aurora Plaza, 1901 W. Galena Blvd.

• Aurora's Farmers Market East will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays, July 7 through Aug. 25, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 701 S. Eola Road.

The farmers markets are more than a place to get your vegetables. Kick off your Saturday morning with a mini-festival of socializing, food, music and more.
