2 in Arkansas women's tennis program receive honors

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The women's tennis program at the University of Arkansas is collecting a pair of honors.

Women's tennis assistant coach Luc Godin and senior Yuliya Lysa were recognized Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Godin was named ITA Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year, while Lysa was tabbed ITA Central Region Senior Player of the Year.

In his second season with the Razorbacks under head coach Michael Hegarty, Godin helped guide the team to 16 wins for the second consecutive season as well as the program's 14th all-time NCAA championship bid.

Lysa, who is ranked a career-best No. 21 nationally, compiled a 13-6 dual-match singles record on the season.
