Indiana police say Ohio man fatally shot inside van on I-70

CLOVERDALE, Ind. (AP) - Police say an Ohio man was fatally shot when a fight broke out broke inside a van as it traveled along Interstate 70 in western Indiana.
Indiana State police Sgt. Joe Watts says an 18-year-old man has been jailed on a preliminary murder charge in the death of 33-year-old Mario L. Edwards of Columbus, Ohio.
Watts says Edwards was shot several times in the torso Sunday night when the van was on I-70 near Cloverdale, about 30 miles west of Indianapolis. Others in the van took Edwards to the nearby Putnam County Hospital and fled. Officers found the van in a rural area near Greencastle about 2 a.m. Monday and arrested the teen.
Watts says Edwards and three others in the van were traveling from Columbus, Ohio, to Missouri.
