Technology workshop for seniors in Des Plaines

Seniors can bring their smartphones and other electronic devices to get answers on how to use them properly during a free senior technology workshop Tuesday in Des Plaines.

The workshop, sponsored by State Rep. Marty Moylan and AT&T, will include how to send and receive text messages, how to download and operate applications, how to use the Internet, and other common features of smartphones, according to Moylan's office. Interested seniors should bring their Android or Apple smartphones and tablets.

The event is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 Northwest Hwy. in Des Plaines.
