SIUE approves contracts for temporary service employees

EDWARDSVILE, Ill. (AP) - Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville has approved contracts for hiring temporary service employees.

The (Alton) Telegraph (http://bit.ly/1UEMYpa ) reports that the board of trustees has approved a $200,000 one-year contract with Marion-based Extra Help, Inc., to hire temporary employees in several departments throughout the academic year.

According to the company website Extra Help specializes in professional staffing and payroll services.

The board also approved initial contracts for trash and recycling services with Edwardsville-based Allied Waste Transportation for $540,000 and St. Louis-based Waste Management for $355,000.
