UConn women will make 11th trip to White House next week

STORRS, Conn. (AP) - The national champion University of Connecticut women's basketball team has been invited back to the White House.

The Huskies, who won their fourth consecutive NCAA championship last month, are scheduled to meet with President Obama on Tuesday afternoon.

The White House says the visit also will allow the president to continue his tradition of honoring teams for their efforts in giving back to the community.

UConn's visits to the White House date back to 1995, when the first of the Huskies' 11 championship teams met with President Bill Clinton.
