Key dates at Arlington International Racecourse

The 2016 racing schedule at Arlington International Racecourse begins Friday and runs through Sept. 24.

This weekendFriday: Gates open 2 p.m., first post at 3:15 p.m. General admission is free.

Saturday: Gates open at noon, first post at 1:15 p.m. General admission is $16 for adults, $4 for children 4-17.

Sunday: Gates open at noon, first post at 1:15 p.m. General admission is $8 for adults, $4 for children 4-17.

Tickets: Various packages available at arlingtonpark.com.

Monthly scheduleMay-June: Live racing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

July-August: Live racing on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

September: Live racing on Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Racing date exceptions:Memorial Day, May 31: Gates open noon, first post at 1:15 p.m.

Sunday, July 3: Fireworks night, with gates open at 1 p.m. and first post at 3 p.m.

Monday, July 4: Gates open noon, first post at 1:15 p.m.

Arlington Million Day, Aug. 13: Gates open 11 a.m., first post at 12:15 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 1: no racing

Friday, Sept. 2: Gates open 2 p.m., first post at 3:15 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 4: Gates open noon, first post at 1:15 p.m.
