Metra trains back on schedule after fatal accident

Metra trains are back on regular schedule following delays in Bartlett on the Milwaukee District/West Line after a train struck and killed a pedestrian Monday morning.

Train 2212 hit the male pedestrian near the Bartlett station at 6:40 a.m., Metra authorities said.

Inbound and outbound trains were halted at the Bartlett station for a period of time following the incident.

Bartlett police and Metra authorities are investigating.
