Hanover Park postpones fire hydrant flushing

Fire hydrant flushing in Hanover Park originally set to begin May 2 will be postponed for about one month, officials said.

Hanover Park's water division will now be flushing hydrants from May 30 through June 10. Flushing will take place between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., and notices will be posted in the designated areas prior to flushing.

The village advises that residents should not wash laundry while flushing is occurring in their area to avoid rust staining of clothes.
