One hurt in Hampshire Twp. crash

One person was injured in a two-car crash Monday afternoon in Hampshire Township, fire officials say.

The crash happened at 2:20 p.m. at Route 47 and Route 72, said Bill Misner, Pingree Grove fire department shift officer.

Three people were evaluated at the scene and released. Another person was taken with minor injuries to Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, he said.

The intersection was closed for more than an hour while Pingree Grove police investigated. The crash remains under investigation.
