Girls soccer: Lightning beats Geneva, St. Charles North

The highly anticipated girls soccer matchup between Geneva and St. Charles North will have to wait.

Geneva went up 1-0 when lightning delayed the game. St. Charles North came back and tied it 11 seconds after the restart but then lightning delays the contest again.

Officials and both coaches, seeing the weather radar, agreed it wouldn't be worth waiting for another 30 minutes and suspended play for the night.

A determination on the future of the game will be made on Tuesday.
