Take good care of our aging horses

Kudos to Christine Fisher of Lisle for her letter concerning the draft horses, Jack & Darryl.

Please let them retire where they are used to living and serving you. To dump them in an unfamiliar and possibly dangerous place is beyond cruel. These horses are smart and they need to live out their days in familiar territory with familiar people.

Don't let them suffer the same fate as two beautiful horses last year who were ultimately sold to a slaughter house. That is no way to treat a faithful animal as they age.

Man up, DuPage County Forest Preserve and take good care of those horses.
