Elk Grove 2, Maine South 1: Christian Camacho's double in the seventh inning scored Austin Brown with the winning run as the Grenadiers won in nonconference play.
Ryan Uehara had driven in AJ Lorenz in the sixth inning to tie it.

Wheeling trailed by 2 runs entering the bottom of the seventh. But Jack Splett, who reached base four times in the games, drove in the tying run before the Wildcats won the nonconference matchup with another run.
Christian Hubbard doubled, finished with 2 hits and 2 walks for Wheeling (7-11).
Kyle Bullock also doubled and managed to score 4 runs, and Mike Wiase went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI.

New Trier 7, Barrington 2: The host Broncos managed just 5 hits against a pair of Trevians pitchers in suffering a nonconference setback. Tristan Michaels doubled and finished with 2 hits for Barrington (13-6), which committed 5 errors.
Leyden sweeps Morton: Jeremy Borges doubled three times in a 4-for-4, 5-RBI effort at the plate to help the host Eagles make short work of the Mustangs in the second game of a West Suburban Gold doubleheader as Leyden won 10-0 in 5 innings. Adrian Perez doubled and drove in 3-for-3, 2-RBI performance for Leyden (8-9), and Michael Wilms tossed a 3-hitter while getting error-free defense from his teammates.
Leyden won the first game 10-1 as Kevin Nevarez (5 IP, 4 hits) and Josh Cubon (2 IP, 1 hit) kept Morton from threatening.
Glenbard North 7, Rolling Meadows 6: The visiting jumped ahead 6-0 after the top of the fourth inning, but the Panthers came back to tie it after the fifth and then scored once in the seventh to win the nonconference contest.
Trent McNally and Jack Lincoln both had 2 hits for Rolling Meadows (0-14), while Luka Pavlakis and Lincoln both drove in 2 runs.
Rockford Boylan 8, Palatine 7: The visiting Pirates pushed 7 runs across in the first inning, but Boylan answered with 6 in the bottom half and later tacked on 2 more to claim a nonconference decision.
Matt Lamm had a pair of hits and drove in 2 runs for Palatine (10-8), which saw a four-game win streak end.
Hersey 8, Maine West 4: Luke LaSalvia drove in 2 runs with a double in the first inning on his way to a 3-hit, 4-RBI effort for visiting Hersey in nonconference play.
