Grain higher, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for May delivery was 13.50 cents lower at $4.82 a bushel; May corn was 5.50 cents lower at $3.79 bushel; May oats was 1.25 cents lower at $2.00 a bushel; while May soybeans lost 11.50 cent to $10.0720 a bushel.
Beef lower and pork prices were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
April live cattle was .03 cent higher at $1.2653 a pound; April feeder cattle was .35 cent lower at $1.4910 a pound; May lean hogs gained 58 cent to $.7760 a pound.
