Lions Club to host pasta dinner May 20

The Lions Club of Sun City-Huntley will again be hosting a pasta dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the Huntley High School cafeteria, 13719 Harmony Road.

Cost is $8, $5 for children 10 and under. Prices are the same as they were in 2014. Where can you get a meal like that for such a reasonable price?

Dinner includes pasta with meatballs, salad with tomatoes and cucumbers, ranch or Italian dressing, garlic bread, ice cream cup, chocolate chip cookie, milk or lemonade or coffee.

In addition to the great food you are contributing to local and worldwide Lions charities for the vision and hearing-impaired, the club scholarships to Huntley High seniors, and local charities like the Grafton Food Pantry, Home of the Sparrow, Transitional Living Services' veterans programs including the New Horizons center in Hebron, the Veterans of Foreign Wars' Veterans Starter Kits for homeless vets just receiving housing.

The Lions are 1.4 million strong worldwide. They are active in more nations and political entities than the United Nations. Its motto is "We Serve" and thanks to all of you, they can serve more and more who truly need and appreciate a helping hand.
