Applications for Paint-A-Thon are now available

Applications for this year's annual Paint-A-Thon of Dundee Township are due by July 1.

Each September, the organization paints the exterior of homes, free of charge, for senior citizens and disabled veterans who need some assistance. The event will be held on Sept. 10, with a rain date of Sept. 17.

Applications for seniors and disabled veterans living in the Dundee Township area can be picked up at the Dundee Township Senior Center, 665 Barrington Ave., Carpentersville, or at the Carpentersville Village Hall, 1200 LW Besinger Drive; East Dundee Village Hall, 120 Barrington Ave., and West Dundee Village Hall, 102 S. Second St.

The organization is also seeking volunteers to paint, as well as donations of paint, brushes, or monetary donations. For questions regarding the event, call Ken at (847) 428-6645.
