Always remember police officers' acts of kindness

I would like to thank my nephew, Tom Thompson, of the Antioch Police Department for arranging my sister-in-law's funeral procession escort from the Round Lake Beach Police Department. We traveled from Antioch past her business "Scotty's Hot Dog Stand" to her final resting place at Highland Memorial Cemetery. All the criticism the police take, most of the time so unfounded, should always be balanced by their acts of kindness, and to those of you who out of respect pulled over to allow the hearse to pass by, thank you for your humanity.
