Olympiakos beats Kallon 5-0 as Greek league season ends
ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Greek league champion Olympiakos routed last-place Kalloni 5-0 to complete a record-setting season on Sunday.
Costas Fortounis and David Fuster gave Olympiakos a 2-0 lead, both with free-kicks, and Pajtim Kasami, Omar Elabdellaoui and Brown Ideye added goals after the break.
Olympiakos finished 28 points ahead of second-place AEK, which lost 3-0 at Levadiakos, shattering the record points margin over the runner-up, which stood at 17 from the 2013-14 season. The margin could still rise if AEK is docked three points for fan violence in a February game. Panathinaikos, a 6-1 winner over Panthrakikos, would then finish second, 30 points behind Olympiakos.
Olympiakos also set records for consecutive wins to open the season (17), consecutive home wins (25) and fewest dropped points (one loss and one draw in 30 games).
