Zion man accused of sex abuse of girl

A Zion man accused of having a sexual relationship with an adolescent girl has been arrested on a warrant, police announced Friday.

Keanu C. Gibson, 20 of the 2900 block of Gilboa Avenue, is charged with home invasion and five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Gibson was arrested at his home Thursday.

The case stemmed from a complaint made in January. Authorities said Gibson met the girl over social media and later sneaked into her home in Beach Park, where they performed sexual acts.

Gibson is held in Lake County jail. He is scheduled to appear in court April 20.
