Active adults stay fit at Club 55

Stay in motion with the Schaumburg Park District Club 55 fitness.

Club 55 classes are designed for participants ages 55 and older. Exercises focus on cardio, toning, stretching and relaxation. Offerings include:

• Aqua Fitness Classes: Aqua fitness helps participants improve strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health in a low-impact setting. Classes include Aqua Step, Aqua Motion, Aqua Interval and Power Splash.

• Cardio Conditioning: Using low-impact cardio exercises, Cardio Conditioning helps burn calories and increase energy.

• Senior Yoga: Participants perform gentle stretching and yoga poses to increase flexibility.

• Strong Heart and Body: This class will strengthen the entire body, including the heart, using bands, balls, cardio moves and stretching.

• Tai Chi: Originating in China as a martial art, Tai Chi helps improve balance and posture and increases ability to perform everyday activities.

Club 55 land and aqua classes are offered at the Community Recreation Center (CRC), 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Aqua fitness offerings also are available at Schaumburg Tennis Plus, 1416 N. Payne Road.

Punch cards for Club 55 classes may be purchased at any Schaumburg Park District facility. Prices include:

• 12 punches: $48 for residents, $63 for nonresidents

• 24 punches: $88 for residents, $120 for nonresidents

• 36 punches: $124 for residents, $170 for nonresidents

A 50 percent discount will be offered on additional punches to those who originally purchase the 36-punch card (limit one-time discount per session). This discount is only valid during the same session as original purchase.
