Grain higher, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mostly lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for May delivery was 5 cents lower at $4.5640 a bushel; May corn was 3.25 cents lower at $3.7020 bushel; May oats was unchanged at $1.92 a bushel; while May soybeans lost 5.50 cents to $9.50 a bushel.
Beef mixed and pork prices were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
April live cattle was .25 cent lower at $1.3193 a pound; April feeder cattle was .13 cent higher at $1.5493 a pound; April lean hogs gained .23 cent to $.6675 a pound.
