St. Thomas of Villanova School names Mary Brinkman new principal

St. Thomas of Villanova School, in Palatine, is excited to announce the appointment of Mary Brinkman as Principal. Mrs. Brinkman has been serving as acting principal since August of 2015, following the sudden resignation of the previous principal.

Brinkman has been teaching at St. Thomas for 38 years and prior to that at Immaculate Heart of Mary School for nine. Previous to her role as acting principal, she taught health and physical education to all grade levels and was assistant principal for eight years. Brinkman received her bachelor of arts degree from Benedictine University and her master's degree from George Williams College.

Brinkman brings to the school, leadership, wisdom and vision and she works tirelessly to make St. Thomas the very best place for the students and faculty to succeed. Most mornings Principal Brinkman can be seen welcoming students and greeting parents, whom she recognizes play an important role in their children's education.

St. Thomas of Villanova School is located at 1141 E. Anderson Drive. in Palatine. The school provides high quality Catholic education, and cultivates students' spiritual, academic, physical and social abilities to their fullest potential. It is a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School by the Department of Education.
