The Arlington Heights Arts Commission is holding a celebration of Dance in Arlington Heights on May 1 at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre. The free event will include performances and a panel discussion.

The Arlington Heights Arts Commission is holding a celebration of Dance in Arlington Heights on May 1 at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, 111 W. Campbell St.

The event will include free dance performances by Dance Express, McDonald Dance School and Orchesis Dance of Rolling Meadows High School, followed by a "Dance Does a Body Good" panel discussion.

The winner of the 2015 photography competition also will be announced at the event. The event is free and open to the public.
