Why all the spitting in baseball dugouts?
Baseball season is here at last! I wish to ask one question. With most players not chewing tobacco anymore, why do they continue to spit?
I understand that no one would want to swallow tobacco juice, but why do they have to spit while chewing bubble gum? I wonder if they spit at home or in a restaurant? Is this a habit we want our impressionable youth to emulate?
Some players, as well as managers and coaches look like they are actually vomiting in the dugout. This is very unprofessional - and has got to stop - not to mention that it is nauseating and disgusting to all TV viewers.
