Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd., up $4.58 to $139.37
The railroad gave up on its effort to buy competitor Norfolk Southern, which has repeatedly rejected its offers.

An analyst for Morgan Stanley said he thinks the athletic apparel maker's U.S. sales growth is slowing down.
National Oilwell Varco Inc., down $1.79 to $27.32
The oil and gas industry supplier gave a weak first-quarter forecast and cut its dividend because of deteriorating market conditions.
