Spring Family Carnival returns to East Dundee in April

As sure as the trees bud and tulips poke their heads up in the garden, the Spring Family Carnival is returning to East Dundee's River Valley Shopping Center at routes 72 and 25 for two weekends, April 14-17 and 21-24.

With an array of rides, games and foods, the carnival has become an annual event for many area families. An unlimited ride special is being offered during limited hours on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday of both weekends. An additional discount is being offered at WindyCityAmusements.com. Carnival hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Parking is free.

"We're always happy to bring opportunities for family friendly entertainment into the area," said Lael Miller, village president. "This is just one of many events that bring people into our village. We'll be presenting a full slate of community events down at The Depot on River Street this summer beginning with the opening of our Sunday Farmers Market on May 8 at 9 a.m. With all of our businesses and restaurants there's always something for everyone going on in our town."
