Naperville resident awarded study abroad scholarship

Grayson Pajkos, a University of Illinois at Chicago Honors College sophomore from Naperville, Illinois, has been awarded a scholarship from the Fund for Education Abroad.

Pajkos, who is dual majoring in economics and political science, is among 25 students to earn the nationally competitive $10,000 award to apply toward their study abroad program costs during the 2016-17 academic year.

While attending Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, he will be enrolled in Korean language courses and major-related classes with Eastern perspectives.

The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the opportunities for dedicated U.S. students to participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs by reducing financial restrictions through the provision of grants and scholarships. FEA aims to make the demographics of U.S. undergraduates studying abroad reflect the rich diversity of the U.S. population.
