Rodriguez helps Conant past Hersey in OT
Amy Rodriguez accounted for all the overtime scoring as host Conant outlasted Hersey 7-4 in girls water polo Wednesday.
Aly Wooley and Hannah Lukas both had 2 goals in regulation for the Cougars (9-3). Cam Rosas stopped 9 shots and had 4 steals for Conant, and Wooley also had 4 steals.
Karolina Niemiec (2 goals), Stephanie Surkin and Katie Lindgren scored for MSL East co-leader Hersey (8-3) in the Mid-Suburban crossover.
Barrington 7, Prospect 3: Mia Latimer scored 3 goals for the Fillies (7-1) while teammates Nicole Runtz and Andrea Potgieter had 2 apiece in the MSL crossover.
Goalkeeper Ellie Connors made 8 saves for the MSL West co-leading Fillies.
Colleen Doyle had all 3 goals for the MSL East co-leading Knights (5-5), who received 13 saves from goalkeeper Lauren Broz.
Fremd 15, Elk Grove 4: Paulina Pappas paced the MSL West co-leaders (7-3) with 4 goals and Karolina Urban and Jenessa Islas-Parker both had 3 while Emma Jeronimus stopped 14 shots.
Hannah Sallenback and Lilly Lawrin both had a pair of goals for Elk Grove (3-8).
Rolling Meadows 9, Schaumburg 2: Emily Walters netted 5 goals for the Mustangs and Sara Luedloff added 2 in an MSL divisional crossover. Teammates Maggie Goodwin and Lizzie Hardt each had 1 and keeper Betsy Zanocco recorded 22 saves for MSL East co-leader Rolling Meadows (9-3).
Palatine 6, Wheeling 2: Mathilde Mogensen scored 2 goals for the Pirates (6-6) while teammates Kristin Anderson, Kelsey Hank and Tess O'Brien each had 1. Meghan Woell made 5 saves and O'Brien 2.
Adrianna Passannante and Adrienne Rozmus had the goals for Wheeling (0-10).
