Gaslight Players to stage musical 'Joseph'

The Gaslight Players of St. Stephen Church in Des Plaines will perform "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" for two weekends in April.

Performance dates are Fridays, April 8 and 15; Saturdays, April 9 and 16; and Sunday, April 10. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Doors will open one hour before the performance.

Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for seniors; and $8 for children and can be ordered by contacting Kathy Drelicharz at (773) 824-7754 or email kdreli@aol.com.

Tickets will also be sold at the door. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The performances take place in Hanley Hall at St. Stephen Church, 1280 Prospect Ave., in Des Plaines.

Cast members include Stephanie Vana and Kim Vana as the narrator; Aaron Gomez as Joseph; John Feddeler as Jacob; Daren Walsh as Pharaoh; Brandon Young as Potiphar; Stephanie Zalewski as Mrs. Potiphar; Gabby Potempa as the Butler; Denise Wiorek as the Baker; Amelia Faulstick as an Apache Dancer; Charlie Vana, Jim Szczesniak, Rob Potempa, Zeke Teran, Manny Bustos, Steve DiGilio, Raphael Ranola, Francis Sandicho and Dominic Fosco as Brothers; and Denise Adams, Mariann Bilodeau, Marie Burke, Jeanne Cox, Natalie Glitz, Madison Kallio, Gabby Potempa, Phyllis Rotondo, Zeny Sandicho, Denise Wiorek, Charmaine Yee-Rowland and Stephanie Zalewski as Wives.

The Children's Choir includes Emma Faulstick, Hannah Kallio, Maggie Martin, Zeke Martin, Isabella Sokol, Nadia Sokol, Grace Vana, Abby Young, Laura Obenberger and Madelyn Rowland.

Music director Tim Vana leads band members Cheryl Burke, Donna DiGilio, Pete Hurtenbach, Brian Sokol, Dan Surma and Charlie Vana. The play is directed by Libby McGuire Giovanni and Joanna Fosco. Producers are Charlie and Jill Vana.

Costumes are arranged by Broadway Costumes, along with Danielle Broehl and Debbie Feddeler. Backstage managers are Debbie Szczesniak and Mary Spielman. Lighting and sound is handled by Woolson Productions, along with Debbie Szczesniak, Dana Palka and Michael DiGilio.

Thomas Didier and Andrew DiGilio comprise the stage crew.

Food and drinks are served by Tom Haas, Mike Bobinski, MaryBeth Conte and Terri Marlega. The members of the set construction crew are Bill Dean, Joanna Fosco, Steve DiGilio, Rusty Burke, Charlie Vana, Tom Stancato, John Feddeler, Jim Szczesniak, Bill Giovanni, Nick Underwood and Thomas Didier. Technical director is Wayne Dean. The Gaslight Players' founder and acting coach is Joy Joseph.
