Sheriff is guest at fireside chat
Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran Jr. is the guest Tuesday evening at the monthly Fireside Chat in Round Lake Beach. Police Chief David Hare is the guest moderator for the session at the Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center, off Hook Drive west of Route 83. The evenings begin at 6 p.m. with a meet and greet, followed from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. by informal conversation between the elected official, the moderator and Mayor Richard Hill. Residents can join the Q&A from 7:15 to 7:30 p.m. The chats are an attempt by the village to bring county and state government closer to local residents and to share information in a comfortable setting.
