Criticisms of Clinton were misplaced

Re: "Clinton swings left to beat Sanders": This was emblematic of what the Daily Herald routinely deems fit to print from our right-wing leaning community members.

All bluster and prattle with little or no substance, merit, or veracity. Why bother with the amount of time and money Hillary Clinton spent on the Illinois primary race? It's been reported failed candidate Jeb! Bush spent $58 million since his campaign began, so what's your point?

Instead, why not condemn the horrible SCOTUS decision, Citizens United, which so badly corrupted an already broken campaign finance system and sold our democracy to those with the most money.

What's so surprising about Hillary thinking the ACA is a great accomplishment? You might recall she championed universal health care decades ago during Bill's term.

Have you tried talking to some family who had pre-existing conditions and couldn't get insurance coverage at any price?

You champion the House resolution that passed 383-0 "that declares ISIS is committing 'genocide against Christians and other religious minorities.' " I don't know anyone who would disagree with that sentiment but please explain exactly what a "resolution" does to change the situation?

This, by the way, from the same Republican-controlled House who over their last few terms have become known as the "do-nothing Congress" for their lack of meaningful work on anything truly important. So exactly how is it that the House "embarrassed President Obama and Hillary Clinton"?

Finally, regarding your stance on coal mining, I think we, as a country, need to look elsewhere. Not only is coal mining extremely damaging to local communities, it's also very detrimental to the health of this planet and our atmosphere, not to mention the health of the coal miners themselves. What good is economic growth if the planet and the people that inhabit it cease to exist?
