Reunited Guns N' Roses play Soldier Field July 1

LOS ANGELES - Axl Rose will reunite with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan this summer when Guns N' Roses launches a stadium tour that comes to Soldier Field on July 1.

The Not In This Lifetime Tour begins June 23 in Detroit. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, April 8, at www.livenation.com. Prices range from $44.50 to $250.

The Nightrain fan club presale begins Saturday at 10 a.m., which also is when Bears season ticket holders can begin purchasing tickets for the Soldier Field show. A Citi cardmember presale begins 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, and ends 10 p.m. Thursday, April 7. For complete presale details, visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

There is a two-ticket limit for the Nightrain fan club presale, a four-ticket limit for VIP packages, and an eight-ticket limit for all other presales combined. There is an eight-ticket limit for the public onsale.

Before the tour was announced Friday, crowds in California thronged for tickets after a surprise announcement that Guns N' Roses would play a concert late that night at West Hollywood's famed Troubadour music venue.

The band announced on its website and in a press release that a limited number of tickets at a very old-school price of $10 apiece would be available at noon at the former location of the famous Tower Records store on the Sunset Strip.

TV news helicopters showed a long line of fans stretching from the store and down the street.
