Geneva library to feature work by student artist

Throughout April, view 17 pieces of art created by second-grader Cate Costello at Geneva Public Library, 127 James St.

Cate has loved creating art since just about the first time she could grasp a crayon. She has exhibited her work and has been in three juried shows as a student artist through the St. Charles Arts Council. She began taking art lessons when she was in preschool and continues to study art with her instructor, Erin Livermore, at all Things Art Studio. Cate says she enjoys creating themed art, and working with watercolors, acrylics, and clay.

When she is not creating art, she enjoys playing piano, participating in theater, reading, and playing with her friends at school.

The library seeks local artists to display their work in its art gallery on a monthly basis. Contact Jeannie Esposito at (630) 313-1008 or visit www.gpld.org/artgallery.
